Policy Scan and Gap Analysis: Government Initiatives to Promote Trade in Services

There are many private and public initiatives in the services sector. A critical component of this project involved reviewing existing and planned policies to identify areas of strength and weakness. A comprehensive audit of policy initiatives and research across all services sectors and relevant departments was therefore undertaken to determine the current gaps in South Africa’s approach to promoting the trade and competitiveness of the services sector.
