APPLICATION PROCESS

It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), please attach outcome from SAQA.

SHORT-LISTING PROCESS
Correspondence will be entered into with short-listed candidates only;
Short listed candidates must make themselves available for a panel interview on the date determined by the GTAC.
All short-listed candidates will be subjected to personnel suitability checks and the successful candidate will undergo security vetting.
Short-listed applicants must be willing to undergo a competency exercise as part of the selection process.

APPOINTMENT PROCESS
The GTAC reserves the right to fill or not fill the advertised posts.
Appointment is subject to security clearance, the signing of a performance agreement or plan, verification of the applicant’s documents and reference checking, including social media checks.
No appointment will be finalised for SMS position until such time shortlisted candidates have completed the Pre-Entry Certificate for Senior Management Services (Nyukela), which is offered at the National School of Government (NSG) https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme

Successful candidates will be appointed on probation for the period of twelve (12) months as per the prescribed rules.
