HIV/Aids and The Economy – Evaluation of The Sectoral Impact of HIV/Aids in South Africa: A Methodological Review
The initial sections of this report deal with reviews of modelling approaches, sectoral impact analyses, surveys and risk factors. This information is then used as a basis for the development of a model framework for estimating impacts on risk groups (defined along socioeconomic lines), economic sectors, and associated households. The results from the modelling and data reviews are then discussed to isolate areas where research and further work is required as well as to inform the modelling approaches to be dealt with in a subsequent report.
