Description

Government has implemented numerous projects and programmes towards improving the functionality of, and turning around, local government. Through the deployment of Service Delivery Facilitators into the targeted municipalities, the aim was to enhance municipal performance and service delivery and promote a new culture of performance and accountability in municipalities. The programme also aimed at strengthening the capacity of government by gathering empirical information that could be analysed and used to refine existing strategies.
