Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Renewable Energy Finance (in bold with the two logos) The Centre for Complex Systems in Transition (CST) is a new Stellenbosch University and National Research Foundation initiative. The Centre is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship position for anyone with a PhD who is interested in focussing on the financial dimensions of South Africa’s renewable energy programme (REIPPPP). “Are you someone committed to challenging inequality who wishes to study amongst like-minded people and gain the academic and practical skills to enhance ​​your powers?” says the LSE’s Professor Mike Savage, Initial Academic Director of The Atlantic Fellows programme. The programme will allow funding for 600 fellows over the next 20 years in 3 linked programmes aimed at a range of fellows, including students, experienced academics, professionals and leaders. “If you think you might be interested in being a Fellow, please be patient!” says Savage. Support for exploratory research work on policy relevant questions related to South Africa

J-PAL Africa, located in SALDRU in the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town, has a pool of funds to support researchers to carry out exploratory research work on policy relevant questions related to South Africa. This ​work should lead to the development of a full research proposal for a randomised evaluation of programmes or interventions that assist in answering the research question. The aim of these funds is to both seed randomized evaluations and build capacity to implement these in South Africa. Applications are due on 20 January 2017. Contact
