The Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship partnered with Dr Allistair Witten, founding director of the Centre for the Community School at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, and the Western Cape Government’s After School Game Changer Initiative, to run a course on innovative ways to create meaningful, sustainable change for learners through partnerships. The course is designed for organisations working with schools across the extended school day, government officials at the district and circuit level, and school principals (who will be accompanied by an entry-level teacher from the same school). This interactive four-week course will be run over the weekends in March 2017, as follows:
Saturday, 4 March: Role of the individual in the journey/process of change
Saturday, 11 March: The individual as part of an organisation in a system
Saturday, 18 March: Building reciprocal partnerships
Saturday, 25 March: Making your project happen.
